Press Release- ACCC Determination

Coregas Pty Ltd is pleased to announce that the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has finalized its determination regarding the acquisition by Nippon Sanso Holdings Corporation. The transaction includes the Coregas branch network across Australia and New Zealand, as well as its associated welding specialists.
Following the assessment, the ACCC has decided not to oppose the proposed acquisition. Coregas is now advancing to the next stage involving FIRB approval to enable sale completion.
This acquisition will see the strengthening of Nippon Sanso Oceania. The Coregas business will remain and operate independently from Supagas as they have complementary strengths and focus on different customer segments with limited overlap in the product mix.
Following the ACCC decision to not oppose the acquisition, Coregas are now awaiting approval from the Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) before we can proceed to complete the transaction.
