Shieldpro 23 (formerly Supagas Supashield 2/98) is a high performance gas used for the welding of stainless steel

Shieldpro 23 mixture has the addition of nitrogen, which improves their performance in the areas of welding speed, penetration, profile, surface appearance, metallurgical benefits etc. This in turn improves the two major areas of concern in a welding process - quality and economics.
Uses
- Ideal for TIG welding stainless steel of all thicknesses
- The addition of nitrogen reduces nitrogen loss from the weld metal, resulting in better corrosion properties compared to welding with pure argon
- Mainly for orbital TIG welding
- Increased pitting corrosion resistance
